FIFO Supervisor – SMP Works
Western Australia | FIFO from Perth | Mining, Construction and Shutdown Projects
We are seeking experienced FIFO Supervisors to lead crews on remote projects across Western Australia. This role is suited to supervisors with backgrounds in structural, mechanical, piping, rigging, shutdowns, construction or heavy industry works. We are open to candidates who have come through the tools and can confidently coordinate people, plant, equipment and daily work fronts in a practical, hands-on environment.
The Role
As Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and supervising daily site activities across structural, mechanical and piping work fronts, ensuring crews are working safely, productively and in line with project requirements. You will liaise with clients, site management and work crews to keep jobs moving, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and practical problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate structural, mechanical, piping, installation, shutdown and maintenance activities on site.
- Lead crews safely and effectively across day-to-day work fronts.
- Review work packs, drawings, lift plans, permits, JHAs/SWMS and site documentation before work commences.
- Ensure work is completed to the required safety, quality and productivity standards.
- Communicate clearly with clients, site management, supervisors, operators and trades.
- Identify hazards, manage risks and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Support workforce planning,
equipment coordination and daily progress reporting.
- Provide practical leadership, mentoring and direction to crew members.
About You
- Proven experience in a Supervisor, Leading Hand or senior trades role.
- Background in structural, mechanical, piping, rigging, shutdowns, construction or heavy industry works.
- Trade background or strong practical site experience preferred.
- High Risk Work Licence, rigging qualifications, crane/lifting experience or other relevant tickets will be highly regarded.
- Ability to read drawings, follow work packs and coordinate crews to meet project targets.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality and getting the job done properly.
- Current driver’s licence, White Card and ability to pass site medical and drug and alcohol testing.
