The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mining Superintendent is responsible for delivering results and leading the day-to-day mining and maintenance operations.

This role involves managing both mining and maintenance personnel, providing clear direction, mentorship,



and effective supervision to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The position operates on an 8/6 roster based in Weipa, North Queensland, with fly-in, fly-out arrangements from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and coordinate all mining load and haul activities ensuring production targets are met
- Optimise production efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve resource recovery.
- Ensure that all mining operations comply with safety standards, legal regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Workforce planning for production teams
- Comprehensive Mechanical Oversight – Proven ability to manage the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of a diverse fleet of mining equipment, ensuring mechanical integrity across all assets
- Strategic Maintenance Coordination – Skilled in planning, prioritising, and allocatin
