Advance Support Co. is looking for experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support across our Eastern Suburbs SIL houses.
We are seeking reliable team members who are committed to supporting participants to live with dignity, choice, independence and connection and providing high quality care.
About the Role
You will provide personalised in-home and community support to participants with neurological disabilities, assisting with daily living, personal care, community access and wellbeing.
This role requires someone who can commit to a minimum of 4 shifts per week and is available for at least 1 sleepover shift per week.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people with neurological disabilities; dementia;
- Can commit to a minimum of 4 shifts per week
- Is available to commit to at least 1 sleepover per week
- Able to commit to 8 -10 hour shifts across a 24/7 day roster
- Is flexible to work across Knoxfield, Croydon and Surrey Hills VIC locations
- Has experience with personal care, daily living supports and manual handling
- Is reliable,
professional and genuinely caring and is confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Understands person-centred support and respects participant choice and preferences
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in either Aged Care or SIL setting with relevant qualifications
- Speaking Thai would be an advantage
