Event Studio is one of Australia's leading designers and manufacturers of custom event, exhibition and activation structures. From major sporting events to exhibitions, festivals and brand activations, we build innovative projects for clients across Australia.

We're looking for a motivated Trades Assistant to join our team at our Warragul workshop. Whilst the position will be based predominately at our Warragul workshop, there will be also times to be part of our onsite crew delivering major projects across Melbourne.

This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to develop practical trade skills and build a long-term career in fabrication and engineering.

Following a successful probation period, the successful applicant may have the opportunity to undertake a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade Apprenticeship.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll learn and assist with:

- Welding and metal fabrication

- Cutting, drilling and grinding steel

- Use of hand and power tools

- Workshop assembly and manufacturing

- Painting and finishing work

- Material preparation and packing

- Loading and unloading materials

- Forklift operation (training provided where required)

- General workshop duties including cleaning

- Assisting with the construction of Modular Structures particularly for the Event Industry.





- Some onsite work in Melbourne and potentially interstate on delivering major projects.

- Some Weekend work during peak periods

What we're looking for

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Reliable and punctual

- Good work ethic and attention to detail

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Physically fit and capable of manual work

- Basic experience with hand and power tools is highly regarded

- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential

- Driver's licence Essential

- Genuine interest in fabrication, welding, engineering or construction

This role would suit a recent school leaver or someone looking to start a hands-on trade career.
