Wood Machinist / Wood Trades Worker

ABG Projects is seeking a qualified and experienced Wood Machinist / Wood Trades Worker to join its dynamic construction team. This role is critical in executing complex timber-related tasks and supporting the company's strong reputation in delivering high-caliber construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret project blueprints, drawings, and prototypes to define timberwork specifications
- Operate woodworking machinery such as planers, saws, routers, and sanders
- Select and assess appropriate timber and materials based on quality and job requirements
- Use CAD software to develop technical drawings and production plans




- Oversee full production lifecycle from design to material selection, machining, assembly, and finishing
- Collaborate with construction teams, architects, and project managers for accurate execution
- Maintain a clean, protected, and compliant working environment
- Provide direct client interaction to ensure satisfaction with design and craftsmanship

Skills And Qualifications

- Trade certification in wood machining, joinery, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in wood machining or similar trades
- At least 2 years of experience on construction sites
- High proficiency in CAD software for design and planning
- Extensive hands-on experience with various woodworking tools and machinery
- Strong eye for detail and precision
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transport
