Inspira Kids is seeking a passionate and reliable Early Childhood Cook to join our Lakelands Centre in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.

In this role, you will be responsible for

- Preparing healthy, nutritious and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children

- Preparing meals in accordance with Food Safety and Nutrition Guidelines

- Maintaining safe and hygienic food preparation, storage and kitchen practices

- Ensuring all allergy and dietary requirements are strictly adhered to

- Ordering and managing food supplies in collaboration with Centre Management





- Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage

- Adhering to and maintaining kitchen standards that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Health and all other relevant regulatory requirements

- Completing kitchen records, temperature checks and cleaning schedules

- Assisting in creating positive mealtime experiences for children

- Building positive relationships with children, families and team members

About You

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

- Previous experience as a Cook and/or a relevant qualification (e.g. cookery, food preparation, catering)

- Current Food Handlers and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

- Current Working with Children's Check

- Experience working in an Early Childcare Setting (highly regarded)

- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
