About the Opportunity
The Process Safety Analyst provides a valuable role by helping to ensure that Major Hazards Facilities (MHF) are assessed and regulated in a safe manner.
This includes provision of technical advice relating to chemical plant and process safety, compliance, enforcement and prevention activities associated with MHF.
This may involve workplace audits and inspections, investigation of process safety related incidents, reviewing effectiveness of risk
management practices to eliminate and / or mitigate risk of major incidents under the MHF regulatory regime and provide written advice / reports and correspondence.
You may assist other areas of SafeWork SA by providing timely advice to assist their investigation or compliance activities, including through provision
of technical training to other inspectors. The incumbent will participate in an internal inspector development training program
to qualify as an inspector appointed under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.

SafeWork SA (SWSA) is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

- Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
- A degree (or equivalent) qualification in chemical engineering which is recognised for professional engineer registration in Australia.
