The Role
This is an excellent chance for a Solicitor who is looking to enter into the Commercial space and join our dynamic team at WMG Legal in the heart of Mitchell, ACT. You will advise clients on commercial transactions and assist in drafting key legal documents including business sale agreements, commercial leases, shareholder agreements, and other contracts. The role may also include involvement in commercial disputes such as building and leasing disputes or debt recovery. You will work directly and be supervised by our Directors and senior lawyers and will have the chance to build the foundations for a successful legal career.
Key Responsibilities (with guidance)
- Provide clear and commercially sound legal advice across a wide range of commercial matters.
- Draft,
review and negotiate contracts, leases, and agreements.
- Manage and progress client files with supervision.
- Collaborate with the Directors on significant matters and client strategies.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships.
About You
- 1-2 year post graduate experience
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Exceptional client service skills and the ability to provide clear, concise, and practical advice to clients
- A proactive, cooperative, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
