Hays is currently partnering with a well-established and growing business in the industrial services sector to recruit an experienced Finance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional seeking a flexible part-time position within a supportive team environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable processing, invoice entry and expense management
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts receivable as required
- Processing journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Managing filing, archiving and financial documentation
- Ordering office stationery and staff amenities
- Responding to incoming calls and providing administrative support
- Supporting the finance team during periods of leave
- General finance and office administration duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Finance Officer,
Accounts Officer or similar role
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
