Artist/Support Worker (Casual)

Location: Burswood & offsite locations

Hours: 1 day per week (casual, with flexibility around events)

Pay: SCHADS Award level 2

Are you an Artist interested in working in the disability sector or a Disability Support Worker with a passion for the arts? We are looking for creative, compassionate, and dedicated individuals to support people with disabilities through arts-based programs and activities.

About the Role

As an Artist/Support Worker, you will support and facilitate creative arts-based programs for people with disabilities in both home and community group settings. This role focuses on building confidence, independence, creativity, and social participation through the arts.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate and support creative arts-based activities (visual arts, performing arts, music, etc.) in home and community group settings

- Provide individual and group support to enhance independence, well-being, and social participation

- Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and community access as required

- Collaborate with participants, families, and team members to develop tailored support plans

- Foster an inclusive, engaging,



and empowering setting

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for:

- Disability Support Workers with experience or a strong interest in the arts

- Artists (visual, performing, music, etc.) with experience supporting people with disabilities or a willingness to train in disability support

Skills & Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience or qualifications in either the arts or disability support (or both)

- A creative, adaptable approach to working with individuals of all abilities

- Understanding of person-centred practices and the importance of community inclusion

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Community Service

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

- Working With Children Check

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (desirable)

- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
