About the role

Link-Force Au is seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team on a casual basis based on various sites around Perth, WA 6000. As a Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling temporary wooden or steel frameworks that support concrete during construction. This position is integral to ensuring structural integrity and safety on building sites, and plays a vital role in the successful delivery of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

1. Construct, erect and dismantle formwork systems in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications

2. Measure, mark and cut timber and other materials to precise specifications

3. Install and secure formwork to ensure stability, alignment and safety of concrete pours

4. Inspect formwork for damage, wear and compliance with safety standards prior to use

5. Collaborate with supervisors, concrete teams and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution

6. Maintain a safe working setting and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and site requirements

7. Use hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and effectively

8. Perform repairs and modifications to formwork as required

9. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter or similar carpentry role within the construction industry

1. Solid understanding of formwork design, load-bearing principles and structural requirements

2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints

3. Competency with hand tools, power tools and site machinery

4. Strong mathematical and measurement skills to ensure accuracy

5.



Valid Construction Induction Training (White Card) or willingness to obtain certification

6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

7. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions

8. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

9. Must have Jump Form Experience

10. Minimum 8-10 hour days Monday to Friday

11. Ongoing consistent work

12. $65-67.50 depending on references & experience
