About the role
Yeddung Mura Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a committed and highly organized Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander skilled to join our team on a full-time basis in Fadden, ACT. This position is integral to the smooth operation of our organization, providing essential administrative support that enables our team to deliver services effectively to the communities we serve. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the backbone of our office operations, ensuring that all administrative functions run seamlessly and that our staff can focus on their core responsibilities.
What you'll be doing
1. Managing correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries in a professional and timely manner
2. Scheduling meetings, appointments and events, coordinating diaries across multiple team members
3. Preparing and maintaining accurate administrative records, files and documentation
4. Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense claims in accordance with organisational procedures
5. Providing general office support including data entry, filing and document management
6. Ordering office supplies and managing inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
7. Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations and other business documents
8. Supporting the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes
9. Contributing to the maintenance of a well-organised, professional and welcoming office environment
10. Assisting with administrative tasks for events, projects or special initiatives as required
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience in an administrative support or similar clerical role
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
5. Accuracy and attention to detail in all work undertaken
6. Professional telephone manner and strong customer service orientation
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
8. Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
9. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
10. Experience working within a community or Aboriginal organisation is highly desirable
