The Strata Community Association (WA) is the leading voice for the strata sector in Western Australia, representing strata management businesses, service providers and industry professionals who support one of the State's fastest-growing property sectors.

With almost 80,000 strata schemes and more than 350,000 strata lots across Western Australia, the strata sector plays an increasingly important role in housing, community living and property ownership. As the sector continues to evolve, SCA (WA) is at the forefront of qualified standards, education, advocacy and industry leadership.

We are seeking an outstanding leader to become our next General Manager.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a respected membership association work alongside government, regulators and industry leaders, and help shape the future of strata in Western Australia.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager is the senior executive responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of SCA (WA).

Working with a small team of dedicated individuals, you will lead the delivery of the Association's strategic plan, champion the interests of members and ensure the ongoing growth and sustainability of the organisation.

As the public face of SCA (WA), you will build strong relationships across industry, government and the broader community while overseeing the Association's advocacy, education, membership, events and operational functions.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing strategic leadership and organisational management

- Advising and supporting the Board on governance and strategic priorities

- Leading advocacy, policy development and government relations activities

- Managing financial performance, risk and organisational sustainability





- Driving membership growth, retention and engagement

- Overseeing education, professional development and accreditation programs

- Leading marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives

- Delivering high-quality events, sponsorship programs and sector recognition initiatives

- Building a high-performing and collaborative team culture

About You

You are an experienced executive leader who thrives in a complex stakeholder environment and can confidently engage with Boards, members, government and industry leaders.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated senior leadership experience within an association, membership organisation, professional body, not-for-profit, government agency or similar environment

- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen

- Experience working with Boards and governance frameworks

- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills

- Experience in advocacy, public policy, government relations or external affairs

- Strong financial management and organisational leadership capability

- Outstanding communication, presentation and influencing skills

- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire others

Experience within the property, strata, construction, housing or related sectors will be highly regarded but is not essential.
