Tourism Council WA is WA's peak industry body for tourism. We represent hundreds of tourism businesses across the state, from regional operators to major attractions, supporting them through accreditation, advocacy and access to programs that help their businesses grow and thrive.

What You'll Love About This Role

- Own a genuinely varied portfolio spanning finance, governance and office operations

- Work closely with the CEO, COO and Manager Member Services, with real visibility into how the organisation runs

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the CEO's calendar, provide basic IT support and manage key suppliers and contracts

- Contribute to the annual membership payment and renewal cycle, and process payments, approvals and staff credit cards

- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries, and prepare annual and monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports

- Assist the CEO with annual and monthly budgets, and manage cashflow, term deposits and direct debit subscriptions

- Process payroll and maintain employee records in Xero

- Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, prepare board reports, and support the AGM including papers, minutes and ASIC lodgements





- Liaise with TCWA's accountant and auditor

- Maintain accurate records in the CRM database and attend TCWA events as required

What You Bring

Essential:

- Solid experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload to deadlines

- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Discretion when handling financial and governance information

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with willingness to learn current systems

- A self-starter mindset and comfort working independently in a small team

Advantageous:

- Experience with Xero

- Exposure to governance processes, such as board reporting or AGM support

- Background in or knowledge of the tourism, hospitality or related industries

- Experience in an industry association environment
