About the role

If you are an experienced executive assistant with strong governance, Board support and stakeholder coordination skills, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to provide high-level support to Autism SA’s Executive Group.

As the Executive Assistant to the Executive Group, you will provide confidential, high-quality executive, governance, secretarial and administrative support to ensure the efficient management and operation of the Executive Chair, Autism SA peak body CEO, and Executive Manager Clinical, Care, and Community. You will also provide secretarial and governance support to the Board of Directors, including Board and Finance Committee meeting coordination.

This diverse and fast-paced role requires autonomy, sound judgement,



discretion and a proactive approach to managing priorities. You will coordinate executive diaries, prepare and distribute Board and Committee papers through BoardPro, maintain governance records and action registers, support high-level meetings, and ensure timely follow-up on priority matters and organisational actions.

We are currently seeking a highly organised, professional and discreet Executive Assistant to join our Executive team and provide critical support across executive operations, governance and stakeholder engagement.

What you will need to succeed

- Experience providing confidential, high-level secretarial and executive administrative support to executive level staff, Boards and Committees.

- Demonstrated experience supporting a Board of Directors within a governance environment, including preparation of Board papers, agendas, minutes, resolutions, reports and governance documentation.

- Extensive experience administering BoardPro, or an equivalent Board management platform, including maintaining Board records, calendars, work plans, declarations, registers and secure document storage.

- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, with excellent document formatting, report preparation and written communication skills.

- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills,



with the ability to manage varied and conflicting priorities, work under general direction and meet agreed standards and timelines.

- High-level interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with Directors, senior executives, Government departments, Ministers’ offices, partner organisations and other key stakeholders.

- Sound judgement, initiative and discretion, with a solid commitment to confidentiality, professional standards and Autism SA’s values.

- Secretarial or business administration qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent.

- Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check.

- Driver Licence (C Class)
