We are seeking an outstanding and passionate Humanities educator to join our highly regarded Humanities Department in a full-time, ongoing position. The successful candidate will need to be flexible in teaching ATAR and General Geography, alongside lower school Humanities.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and well-resourced team dedicated to helping students develop critical thinking skills, global perspectives and a deep understanding of the world around them.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about inspiring young women to engage thoughtfully with people, places and societies. Through innovative and engaging learning experiences, the successful candidate will support students to achieve their personal best while fostering a lifelong interest in the humanities and social sciences.

Working within a culture of collaboration, professional growth and continuous improvement, the successful candidate will contribute to outstanding student outcomes and play an active role in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective humanities lessons across Years 7-12 with a heavy focus on ATAR and General Geography aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and Year 11 and Year 12 WACE courses

- Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet students’ needs and course objectives, and foster a positive and inclusive academically focused learning environment





- Develop varied and valid assessments to track student progress, providing timely feedback and reporting to parents and leadership

- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

- Undertake the responsibilities of a Homeroom Teacher, actively supporting student wellbeing and engagement, while contributing to the School's co-curricular program

- A commitment to ongoing professional learning and continuous improvement

Essential Criteria

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Humanities

- Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA

- Experience teaching ATAR and General Geography

- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum and resource development

- Right to work in Australia

- Strong communication and classroom management skills, with a commitment to improving student understanding and outcomes in Humanities
