With over 500 team members across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Current Zealand, Saunders maintains strong commitments to safety, quality, and reliability.Role Description This full-time Project Engineer role is based in the Greater Perth Area and offered on a hybrid basis, with a mix of on-site, Perth office and work-from-home arrangements. The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering and construction projects, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing project documentation, assisting with design and engineering calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and monitoring progress against schedule and budget.
The role involves collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors, managing technical queries, and contributing to risk assessments and mitigation plans. The Project Engineer will also help drive continuous improvement, support commissioning activities, and provide technical input throughout the full project lifecycle.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex industrial and infrastructure projects.Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, and support for cost and risk management.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines, prepare clear documentation, and engage with clients and stakeholders.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) and experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects are highly beneficial.Familiarity with Australian standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems, along with proficiency in common engineering and project tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD or similar), is advantageous.Demonstrated problem-solving capability, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented approach in hybrid work environments will be valued.
