Application Support Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join a large defence project, providing operational support, administration, monitoring and maintenance of business-critical applications and platform services within a complex enterprise workplace.
This role requires sound technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure the availability, performance and security of supported systems.
Essential CriteriaExperience providing application and platform support within complex enterprise ICT environmentsPractical knowledge and experience supporting applications hosted on IBM Fusion, Red Hat OpenShift, or comparable containerised platform environmentsAbility to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application, platform and integration issues in accordance with established support processes and service level agreementsExperience monitoring system health, performance, availability and capacity,



and taking appropriate action to maintain service continuityUnderstanding of incident, problem, change and release management processes within an ITIL-aligned support environmentAbility to diagnose technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and escalate complex matters where requiredUnderstanding of security, compliance and operational requirements within secure or regulated environmentsExperience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, engaging with technical specialists, vendors and business stakeholdersAbility to maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and support knowledge articlesStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Security ClearanceApplicants must hold a minimum NV2 (Negative Vetting 2) security clearance.
