The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced water networks professional to join a growing advisory practice supporting major utility and infrastructure clients across Australia and New Zealand.
Working at the intersection of strategy, operations and technical excellence, you will act as a trusted advisor to water utility clients, providing expert guidance across water and wastewater networks. You will help clients improve operational performance,
optimise assets and address critical challenges relating to water loss, network efficiency, water quality and infrastructure planning.
This is a highly visible role that combines technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive measurable outcomes for some of Australia's most important water utilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain trusted relationships with utility and infrastructure clients.Provide strategic and technical advisory support across water and wastewater network operations.Lead or contribute to master planning, feasibility studies, options analysis and infrastructure optimisation initiatives.Deliver operational support including network performance monitoring, condition assessments, surveys and improvement programs.Provide subject matter expertise across non-revenue water (NRW), leakage management, inflow and infiltration, water quality and metering performance.Prepare technical reports, investment cases, cost estimates and client presentations.Conduct risk assessments and develop practical mitigation strategies.Facilitate workshops,
stakeholder engagement sessions and technical reviews.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated client solutions.Support knowledge transfer and capability development within client organisations.
About YouYou are an experienced water networks professional who combines robust technical capability with the ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver practical outcomes.You will bring:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.Proven experience within water and/or wastewater network operations, optimisation, planning or consulting environments.Strong understanding of utility operations, regulatory frameworks and environmental compliance requirements.Experience working with public utilities, asset owners and/or major contractors.Demonstrated expertise in network efficiency, leakage management, non-revenue water reduction, metering or network performance improvement.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable recommendations.Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.Ability to work across multiple client sites and travel domestically when required.
