We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused Casual Retail & Trade Sales Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on role that combines retail sales, customer service and trade support. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing outstanding customer service to both retail and trade customers.
- Assisting customers with product selection and advice.
- Mixing paint and preparing customer orders (training provided).
- Processing sales through our POS system.
- Receiving, unpacking and merchandising stock.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe store.
- Supporting trade account customers with orders and enquiries.
- Assisting with deliveries and loading products when required.
- Working collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive attitude and robust work ethic.
- Enjoys talking with people and building relationships.
- Is confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is physically capable of lifting up to 20kg and being on their feet throughout the day.
- Is reliable, punctual and takes initiative.
- Has basic computer skills.
- Holds a current, valid Australian driver's licence (essential).
- Is available to work weekdays.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous retail or trade sales experience.
- Experience in the paint industry, including architectural, automotive and/or industrial coatings.
- Experience in hardware, building supplies or a related trade environment.
