About the opportunityWe have an exciting chance for a confident, highly skilled communications professional to join our team in a senior role. The ideal candidate will thrive on strategy development and stakeholder engagement, have extensive experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders around high-pressure situations, and demonstrate a proven ability to develop and deliver solutions that result in positive outcomes for organisations and communities. Working closely with clients and our team, you'll lead client relationships, manage projects from end to end, provide strategic communications advice, and guide content from concept through to delivery, while contributing to a team-oriented, high-performing consultancy setting.Our Associate Directors lead complex client accounts, mentor and guide teams, contribute to business development, and work closely with Directors and our CEO.
What you’ll be doing Lead and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand existing accountsDrive business development by spotting, shaping and converting new work opportunities across Purple’s key sectorsProvide senior-level strategic counsel and oversee the delivery of complex communication and engagement programsDeliver explicit,



confident and high-quality communications across a range of industries and sectorsDraft standout written content, including reports, briefing notes, strategies and media releasesSecure meaningful media opportunities and contentPrepare clients for media interviews and key speaking engagementsPartner with designers and suppliers to bring ideas and campaigns to lifeSupport issues management with smart strategy and confident, timely responsesKeep accurate and timely daily entries to support project tracking and billing
About youYou’re a strategic thinker, strong communicator and natural relationship builder who thrives in a fast‑paced consulting environment. You bring curiosity, initiative and a proactive approach to solving client challenges, and you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting hands on with the work as you are working across diverse sectors, briefs and teams.You’ll bring:5+ years of relevant industry experience in communications, PR, corporate affairs, marketing, journalism or a related fieldThe ability to design and execute strategic engagement plans across a diverse range of stakeholders including governments and local communitiesStrong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work at paceTertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field (or equivalent experience)Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channelsA collaborative, team-focused approach,



with the confidence to share ideas, provide recommendations and support colleaguesAwareness of current affairs, industry trends and media landscapes, particularly within Western AustraliaConfidence with Microsoft Office 365 and digital communication toolsEstablished local networks and/or demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships
