Simon Foster Metal Fabrication is a unique company that undertakes a variety of structural steel and architectural metal work for the building and construction industries. We are a well-established business, looking for 2 apprentice Boilermaker Welders who are reliable, energetic and have a good work ethic.
About the role
Apprentices are hands on from day one. You will learn all aspects of becoming a qualified sheet metal worker through formal training and one-on-one coaching and support from the management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with stainless steel, mild steel, galvanised steel and aluminium
- Required to measure and cut sheet metal
- Use a variety of hand and power tools including polishing tools
- Must be available to work overtime during the week & weekends when required (overtime rates apply)
- Must be available for an immediate start
- Please note that this is a heavy industry and therefore it will involve lifting heavy things
- Preferably someone local to the area (the workshop is located in Malaga).
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will have had pre-apprentice experience or 2 or 3 years workshop experience.
To excel in your position, ideally you will have:
- Current Drivers License (manual Licence is a must) and your own transport
- White Card (can be obtained when necessary)
- Must be able to pass a full medical examination
- Effective time management
- A willingness to learn and be self-motivated
- Strong work ethic with good communication skills
- Able to integrate into a new team environment
- An ability to learn and embrace recent ideas
- A desire to grow their personal skill set & gain experience
- Highly motivated, reliable and punctual
