Housekeeper / Receptionist

Adelaide Paringa Motel | Part-Time | Immediate Start

To help create a memorable guest experience — primarily through immaculate housekeeping standards, and by stepping in to provide friendly, effective front-of-house service whenever reception coverage is needed.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Housekeeping (primary duties)

- Clean and service guest rooms to a consistently high standard, including making beds, bathrooms, restocking guest amenities, vacuuming and dusting

- Ensure linen and towels are replaced, laundered and stocked appropriately

- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of common areas, corridors and laundry facilities

- Report any maintenance issues or defects to Management promptly

- Respect guest privacy and security at all times while servicing occupied rooms

- Ensure rooms are presented and ready in line with check-in times

Reception (back-up, as needed)

- Cover the check-in/check-out procedure smoothly and professionally when reception needs support

- Handle telephone calls, guest requests and reservations in a timely and proficient manner

- Communicate with guests in an open, friendly, respectful and positive manner

- Be familiar with hotel services, room types and rates





- Create reservations in the system according to guest requests and availability

- Resolve guest queries in a timely, professional manner, escalating to Management where required

- Process guest mail, messages and deliveries in a timely manner

- Ensure correct and accurate float balance, and cash/credit transactions are recorded accurately at the end of each shift when performing reception duties

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous housekeeping experience, ideally within a hotel/motel or similar environment

- Reception or customer service experience highly regarded, given the back-up front-of-house component of this role

- Great with people, with the ability to build rapport easily

- High attention to detail and pride in presentation standards

- Physically able to perform housekeeping duties, including bending, lifting and standing for extended periods

- Available for shifts 9am–8pm, two days per week
