The OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their busy and collaborative payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of multiple Australian payrolls across a multi-entity environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls across multiple entities.Maintaining employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations and employee changes.Processing leave, allowances, overtime, deductions and payroll adjustments.Ensuring payroll activities comply with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and company policies.Responding to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders in a timely manner.Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting, superannuation and payroll tax requirements.Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities, including STP and compliance reporting.Contributing to payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
About YouPrevious experience in an Australian Payroll Officer position.Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards and compliance requirements.Experience processing payroll in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.Multi-entity payroll experience is highly regarded.Experience with softwares such as SAP, Pronto, ADP and Kronos is highly advantageous.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.A proactive and hands-on approach with excellent communication skills.
