About the RoleAs the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will lead the HST function across our operations in Western Australia, Far North Queensland. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in developing systems, driving safety performance and building a strong safety culture across the business.
Key responsibilities include:Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Mines Safety Management System (MSMS) across all operations.Provide strategic Health, Safety & Training leadership, advice and support to operational leaders and senior management.Develop and maintain policies, procedures and frameworks to ensure legislative compliance and industry best practice.Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership, risk management, coaching and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, audits and contractor management processes.Develop and oversee operational training and competency programs to ensure a skilled, compliant and safety-focused workforce.Manage emergency response preparedness,



occupational health programs and injury management strategies.Build strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.Lead, mentor and develop the Health, Safety & Training team to deliver outstanding business outcomes.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:A minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in a senior Health, Safety & Training leadership role within the mining industry.Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Mine Safety Management Systems and WHS frameworks.Strong knowledge of mining legislation, regulatory compliance and risk management principles.Proven ability to influence leaders and build positive safety cultures across operational environments.Experience managing incident investigations, audits, contractor management and injury management processes.Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams.Relevant Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related discipline.Current Manual Driver's Licence. Qualifications such as ICAM Lead Investigator, Cert IV Training & Assessment or WHS auditing experience will be highly regarded.Previous experience with INX / In control preferred.
