Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Machinist to join our Wangara workshop.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overhaul pumps, mechanical seals, valves, gearboxes and associated equipment
- Strip, inspect, measure and assess rotating equipment components
- Assemble pumps, mechanical seals, valves, gearboxes and associated equipment
- Perform precision measurements, understand fits and tolerances and laser alignment
- Read engineering drawings and follow OEM specifications
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
About You
You'll be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Machinist with:
- Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience
- Experience with pumps or other rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
- Ability to read technical drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Current Driver's Licence
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
Mechanical seal experience, machining, welding and laser alignment skills will be highly regarded but are not essential.
