Sales Representative – Civil & Equipment Hire

ACE Rental | Yatala, Gold Coast QLD | Full-time

ACE Rental is looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to grow our client base and strengthen relationships across the civil construction, infrastructure and government sectors.

This is a hands-on, field-based sales role suited to someone who understands the construction or equipment hire industry and enjoys getting out on the road, meeting clients and identifying new project opportunities.

You will be responsible for generating new business, developing existing accounts and promoting ACE Rental’s extensive range of operated machinery and self-operated equipment throughout South East Queensland.

ACE Rental is a family-owned equipment hire business based in Yatala, servicing clients across South East Queensland.

For more than 20 years, we have supported civil construction, infrastructure and government projects with reliable machinery, responsive service and a modern, well-maintained fleet.

Our equipment range includes excavators, graders, backhoes, skid steers, compaction equipment, water carts, traffic management equipment, lighting towers and other civil construction machinery.

We pride ourselves on building long-term client relationships and providing dependable equipment and practical support when our customers need it.

The Role

Reporting to management, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities across ACE Rental’s target markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across South East Queensland





- Building relationships with civil contractors, project managers, site supervisors, procurement teams and government organisations

- Promoting ACE Rental’s operated machinery and self-operated equipment hire services

- Managing and growing relationships with existing clients

- Conducting regular client visits, site visits and sales follow-ups

- Understanding upcoming projects and matching clients with suitable equipment solutions

- Monitoring relevant local and state government tenders and project opportunities

- Preparing quotes, proposals and tender responses with support from the internal team

- Maintaining accurate sales activity, client information and opportunity records

- Working closely with operations to ensure a smooth experience from enquiry through to equipment delivery

- Representing ACE Rental professionally at meetings, industry events and networking opportunities

About You

We are looking for a proactive salesperson who is confident developing new relationships while continuing to look after existing accounts.

You will be well organised, commercially minded and comfortable communicating with people at all levels of a construction project.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:





- Previous experience in sales, business development or account management

- Experience within equipment hire, civil construction, earthmoving, transport or a related industry

- A strong understanding of the South East Queensland construction market

- A demonstrated ability to generate leads and convert opportunities into ongoing client relationships

- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule

- Good organisational skills and consistent follow-up habits

- Confidence using Microsoft Office, email and customer management systems

- A current Australian driver’s licence

- A qualified, reliable and team-focused approach

Experience with government tenders or public-sector procurement will be highly regarded but is not essential.
