This is a rare chance to join a successful, family-owned modular construction business experiencing significant national growth. Delivering projects across Australia, the business is seeking a talented designer to lead the design and drafting process for high-quality modular residential projects. You'll take projects from initial client consultation through to construction-ready documentation, producing engaging 3D models and ensuring every project is accurately documented before construction begins.

Key Responsibilities

- Meet with clients (primarily online) alongside the Sales team to understand project requirements

- Prepare schematic 2D floor plans and concept layouts

- Develop detailed 3D models, walkthroughs and presentation material for client approval

- Produce accurate construction documentation and ensure compliance with relevant building standards

- Coordinate drawings with external consultants and internal stakeholders

- Review and quality-check documentation prior to construction

- Assist with resolving design and documentation queries during construction when required

- Work closely with the drafting team to continually improve documentation quality and project delivery

Skills & Experience

- Experience in residential, modular, prefabricated or light commercial projects





- Strong 3D modelling and visual presentation skills

- Experience preparing construction documentation

- Confident communicating directly with clients and presenting design solutions

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

- Ability to coordinate consultants and manage multiple projects

- Experience using SketchUp or ArchiCAD preferred

- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
