About the Role

Based around 2/1 FIFO roster (pending project requirements). We are seeking experienced electricians to join our WA team on a full time basis. You will work as an integral part of our onsite project delivery team to assist in successful delivery of large scale communications projects for our clients mainly around Pilbara based mine sites.

Working with a projects site based team, suitable candidates will be required to perform tasks including but not limited to;

- Read and interpret electrical drawings.

- Clear understanding of Australian and mining clients standards and regulations to complete high quality electrical installations.

- Complete builds of solar arrays including cabling, earthing and terminations to marshalling terminal boxes, surge protection devices and associated panels.

- Earth grid and stake installations.

- Generator installations.

- Installation of cable containment (UG conduits and pits, above ground cable ladders, brackets, conduits)

- Install and terminate cables between and in equipment and communication equipment rooms.

- Safe handling and installation of specialised batteries in associated racks.

- Labelling to design including equipment, panels, cables.

- Testing and commissioning to Australian and client standards, filling out ITR’s as required.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:

- Trade Certified Electrician with west Australian electrical license

- C Class drivers license.

- Provide First Aid statement of attainment (within 3 years)





- CPR and Low Voltage Rescue statement of attainment (within 1 years)

- Construction Induction (White Card)

- Work Safely at Heights statement of attainment (within 2 years industry standard)

- Current endorsed Open Registration cabler licence – desirable

- Current Licence to Perform High Risk Work – Boom type elevating work platform (WP) – desirable

- Electrical experience working with Solar, Direct Current, Battery Backup systems and Telecommunications power supplies is desirable.

- Sound judgement to make appropriate decisions with limited direction.

- Great safety knowledge with a commitment to safe working practices.

- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective time management skills.

- Ability to work independently without supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others.

- Client site inductions desirable (BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG, Roy Hill).

Key Responsibilities

- Undertakes all activities in line with Radlink HSEQ Policy – reports all near misses, incidents according to the procedures, promptly and clearly with all the required detail

- Participate in preventative maintenance – complete scheduled maintenance work systematically, and record and schedule repair of items requiring follow up attention to ensure completion of the work

- Corrective maintenance – attend to complex equipment and systems with guidance using module replacement and component level repair techniques, with faulty equipment being brought to full operating status quickly and cost effectively





- Participate in service restoration by respond effectively under direction to service outages, acts with support to restore services promptly so that contractual availability and fault response requirements are met

- Commission new sites on behalf of Radlink and its clients.

- Plan, organise and execute plans for the delivery of technical work under guidance of the Electrical Team Technical Lead or Radlink management.

- Support team in contributing to a zero-harm safety culture through compliance with standards and guidelines.

- Be willing to mentor and coach junior electricians and apprentices whilst working on the tools and assisting with the job in a team environment.

- Help maintain a culture which encourages teamwork and collaboration.

- Provide written and verbal reports to Radlink management or their delegates as required.

- Adopt a working style in line with Radlink Values (Can-Do, Quality, Integrity).

- Other duties as requested by Management, within the scope of the individual’s capabilities.
