About The Role:
This position is a combined Trades Assistant/Workshop Assistant role. The primary focus of the role is supporting workshop operations, materials handling, stock control, while also assisting with general trades support duties and deliveries.
You will play an important part in ensuring parts, consumables and fabrication items are organised, available and delivered efficiently to support daily workshop operations. The ideal candidate will have good analytical and problem-solving skills, a robust commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and the ability to work in a team environment.
Store & Workshop Support
- Receive, inspect, organise and dispatch goods and materials
- Maintain orderly and accurate inventory
- Prepare parts for workshop use and dispatch
- Load/unload deliveries and operate forklifts/material handling equipment
- Coordinate freight and maintain a clean and organised workshop
Trades Assistant Support
- Assist tradespersons with fabrication tasks, including assembling parts using hand/power tools
- Receipt orders and conduct basic quality checks of materials received
- Support general workshop operations
Delivery Support
- Complete deliveries and pickups using company vehicles
- Ensure goods are transported securely and professionally
About You:
- Must hold a Manual Driver’s Licence and Forklift Ticket.
- Previous experience working in a workshop environment, including experience with parts, mechanics and Boilermaking is preferred.
