Locum cover is required for:

- 9 - 13 September 2026
- 18 - 25 September 2026
- 2 - 6 November 2026

Position Details:

- Shift times: 0800 - 1630 in the hospital or the clinic, with the rostered on call SMO covering the ED and ward between 1630 - 0800 the next day.
- SMO with FACRRM/FRACGP and ED experience

Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading, where applicable.

Must have current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.

Some of the services on offer include Accident & Emergency, Acute care, Aged care, Palliative care, and Physiotherapy. Located an hour south of Cairns, Queensland (QLD), this is a small town characterised by its Art Deco buildings and centred around a sugar mill. There is plenty of room for adventure with the town lying beside two of Queensland’s highest mountains which are part of the World Heritage listed Wooroonooran National Park. Marvel at The Boulders, explore Devil’s Pool Walk, or visit Joesphine Falls - this small town is packed with nearby wonders.
