About the role
We're looking for a Town Planner to support planning assessments, approval pathways, and compliance across our residential projects.
In this role, you'll be involved in the planning and approvals process from early design review through to construction readiness. You'll assess compliance, prepare planning justifications, and work closely with internal teams and local authorities to keep projects progressing efficiently. You'll be supported by an experienced team, with plenty of opportunity to build your knowledge and grow your career in residential planning.
This is a excellent opportunity for a planner who enjoys problem-solving, variety in their day-to-day work, and seeing projects move from design through to approval.
Key focus areas include:
- Conducting planning and compliance assessments
- Reviewing designs against R-Codes and local planning controls
- Preparing clear, well-reasoned planning justifications
- Liaising with local governments, certifiers, and developers
- Supporting sales, drafting, and design teams with compliance advice
- Contributing ideas for process improvements
About You
You're an experienced Town Planner, or a recent graduate building your experience, with a working knowledge of WA planning frameworks. You're keen to develop your technical skills, apply practical judgement, and communicate compliance requirements clearly to a range of stakeholders.
You're organised, responsive, and solutions-focused, someone who's eager to learn, builds strong working relationships, and enjoys helping teams navigate approvals.
You'll ideally bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Town Planning
- 1–3 years' relevant planning experience (graduates considered; WA experience preferred)
- An understanding of local planning policies and approval pathways
- Exposure to preparing planning reports or justification letters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and time management
- A collaborative, proactive, can-do approach
