Lead the centralised Nursing and Midwifery workforce, managing the onboarding and relief management across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nursing Director (Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Unit at Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals
- Demonstrate expertise in contemporary standards and policies regarding staffing, workforce sustainability strategies and recruitment practices and research
- Communicate relevant, prompt and accurate information; using good judgement in prioritising courses of action; respectful to co-workers and customers; efficient computer, communication, written and interdisciplinary working experience
- Provide professional leadership and governance for the nursing and midwifery workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, professional excellence, research translation, workforce capability and continuous improvement

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening,



to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of reliable discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $184,099 per annum
