Robinson Roofing Qld is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber/Metal Roofer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position based in Caloundra, QLD, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality roofing and roof plumbing solutions to our clients. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing metal roofing systems and managing water drainage solutions. This role is integral to our reputation for excellence in the building trades industry and offers the prospect to work on diverse projects whilst utilising your technical expertise.
Key responsibilities
1. Install, repair and maintain metal roofing systems on residential and commercial properties
2. Carry out roof plumbing work including guttering, downpipes and flashing installation
3. Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards and industry best practices
4. Measure, cut and shape roofing and plumbing materials to precise specifications
5. Work safely at heights and manage potential hazards on construction sites
6. Perform site assessments and provide accurate quotes for roofing and plumbing projects
7. Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule
8. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
9. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and any necessary modifications
What we're looking for
1. Completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in roof plumbing, metal roofing or a related building trade
2. Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites across the region
3. Proven experience in metal roofing installation and roof plumbing work
4. Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and WorkSafe requirements

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
7. Physical fitness and capability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
8. Strong communication and customer service skills
9. Reliability and a professional approach to work
10. Current or willingness to obtain relevant safety certifications (such as Working at Heights)
