About the Role

This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership role with regular site presence. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will lead LV/MV installation, testing and commissioning activity across WA, provide technical oversight to our existing WA-based electricians and apprentices, and represent Mayfield Industries to clients as the team continues to grow.

Because this role sits within our established WA operation, you'll have the support of the Service Manager and existing systems and processes on the ground, while still carrying genuine technical authority and accountability across your projects. Success looks like: consistent, high-quality LV/MV installation and testing delivery, strong client relationships across WA's mining, utility and industrial base, and a technical standard that lifts the wider team.

Duties

- Plan and perform LV/MV testing and commissioning using equipment such as Omicron (CMC/CPC series) — including protection relay testing, primary/secondary injection and circuit breaker timing analysis

- Lead safety, quality and compliance across service and project activities

- Supervise installation and commissioning activities on projects, and provide advanced fault-finding and technical support across LV/MV systems, switchboards, generators and UPS

- Coordinate maintenance, breakdown response, commissioning and fault rectification works

- Ensure compliance with WA Electrical Licensing Regulations, AS/NZS 3000 and testing requirements

- Review and approve statutory and compliance documentation (including Prelim Notices, NOCs and ESCs) as required under WA regulations

- Fulfil Electrical Supervisor responsibilities, including holding (or working towards) a WA Section 26 appointment





- Provide technical supervision and quality oversight of testing and commissioning work performed by our WA-based electricians and apprentices, lifting method and rigor across the team

- Build and maintain direct client relationships across WA's mining, utility and industrial sectors

- Contribute to the ongoing development of service systems and processes that support the wider WA operation

Skills & Experience

- Current WA Electrical License (A-Grade)

- Existing WA Section 26 appointment as Electrical Supervisor, or willingness to obtain with support

- Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) certification

- Hands-on experience operating Omicron test equipment for LV/MV protection, commissioning or insulation testing

- Strong experience in service, maintenance, testing or commissioning

- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000) and WA regulatory requirements

- Experience in mining, utility or critical-infrastructure service environments

- Exposure to transportable / designed-to-order switch rooms and substations

- Demonstrated experience supervising licensed and unlicensed workers

- Comfortable balancing technical accountability with day-to-day supervision, and confident representing the business directly to clients

A Construction Induction Card (White Card) and current C-Class driver's license will be required before you start — if you don't hold these yet, we're happy to help you organize them as part of the process.
