We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and involves supporting end-to-end accounting functions and ensuring dealership compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Processing deals for new and pre-owned vehicles
· Preparing end-of-month gross profit reports for management
· Calculating monthly sales and management commissions
· Managing general accounting tasks, banking transactions, and bank reconciliations
· Reconciling inventory, factory receivables, and floorplan accounts
· Handling balance sheet reconciliations as required
· Managing pre-owned vehicle intake, payments, and floorplan requests
· Recording expense accruals and journal entries at month’s end
· Completing and submitting monthly factory reports
· Maintaining accurate financial records
· Supporting daily administrative functions
· Assisting with statutory compliance such as BAS and FBT returns
· Preparing financial and management reports for directors, auditors, finance companies, and banking partners
The ideal candidate may be a recent university graduate with strong proficiency in document handling, Excel, MS Office programs, and an understanding of systems and software. Prior dealership experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
