What is involved in this role?
- Assisting patients with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and toileting when necessary
- Provide mobility services which include patient transfer via wheelchair, patient trolley or bed
- Work with the hospital food services department to provide patient meal delivery service
- Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patient rooms and removing and replacing trash bags.
- Required to work shift work
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team
The ideal candidate will have at least six months experience as Assistance in Nurse and be able to provide evidence of the following requirements:
- At least 6 months experience as an AIN
- Certificate III or Equivalent qualifications.
- National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
- Must have all immunizations/serology records: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella & Pertussis
- Working with Children card or willing to obtain
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
