Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ are seeking multiple Business Analysts for a long-term opportunity with a Federal Government Department. The contract is upto June 2027 plus 12*3 extensions. This offers remote working arrangements.

Overview:
Our Client are seeking a highly motivated, outcomes-focused Business Analyst who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, and drives work forward. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator who builds trusted relationships, brings people together, and creates alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes.

This role suits someone who is proactive, highly organised, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and enjoys working across multiple concurrent initiatives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Build strong relationships and trusted partnerships across business and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, discussions and stakeholder engagement activities to understand business needs and align priorities.
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements, processes,



user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Drive activities forward by proactively identifying risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Support planning activities including backlog management, business case development, roadmaps and delivery planning.
- Communicate progress, insights, risks and recommendations to support effective decision-making.
- Work across multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining focus on outcomes and delivery.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Essential criteria

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build trusted relationships, facilitate discussions, and bring people together to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive work forward, remove obstacles, identify opportunities, and deliver outcomes with minimal direction. Shows accountability, follow-through and a strong bias for action.
- Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops, supporting delivery teams, and working effectively across multiple concurrent initiatives in Agile environments.




- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build trust, contribute positively to team culture, support others, and create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Desirable:

- Experience working on data, reporting, analytics or information management initiatives.
- Ability to work closely with developers on technical requirements.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, APIs, integrations, or system architecture.

The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen with ability to obtain Baseline clearance.
