We're seeking experienced Conveyor Belt Technicians (Belt Splicers) to join a well-established and growing organisation servicing the mining, industrial and manufacturing sectors across Western Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional team delivering conveyor maintenance, installation and repair services across a diverse range of client sites.
About the Role:
As a Conveyor Belt Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of conveyor belt systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This hands-on position offers a varied workload, with opportunities to work across workshop and field service environments for a 12 month period with opportunity for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out conveyor belt installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Perform hot and cold vulcanising, belt splicing and repairs.
- Install and maintain steel cord, PVC, fabric and solid woven conveyor belts.
- Complete pulley lagging and conveyor component repairs.
- Inspect conveyor systems and identify faults or wear.
- Install and maintain conveyor components including rollers, idlers, scrapers and frames.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate plant and equipment including vulcanisers, belt winders, forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Complete job documentation accurately.
- Maintain a robust commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
About You To be successful, you'll have:
- Previous experience as a Conveyor Belt Technician or Belt Splicer.
- Experience working within mining, industrial or heavy industry environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
Highly Regarded:
- Certificate III in Polymer Processing (or similar)
- Forklift (LF) Licence
- Dogging & Basic Rigging Licence
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- High Risk Work Licences
- Previous shutdown or site-based experience
