Effective Building Group (EBG) is a self-delivering building and maintenance contractor delivering commercial and government projects throughout Western Australia.
Unlike many contractors, we complete our core building services with our own people. This allows us to maintain the quality, communication and accountability our clients have come to expect.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced carpenter who's confident on the tools, communicates well, and enjoys solving problems. You'll work across a diverse range of maintenance, refurbishment and minor works projects, with no two days the same.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality carpentry and general building works
- Reviewing job scopes and planning the most effective approach before work begins
- Managing your own jobs from commencement through to completion
- Working closely with apprentices, trades assistants and subcontractors where required
- Keeping Project Managers informed of progress, site issues and practical solutions
- Completing accurate job documentation,
photographs and electronic updates through AroFlo (training provided)
- Maintaining EBG's high standards for safety, presentation and workmanship
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of their work from start to finish
- Thinks ahead and plans before picking up the tools
- Communicates professionally with clients, managers and fellow trades
- Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions
- Is willing to share their knowledge and experience with apprentices and less experienced carpenters
- Takes pride in leaving every job completed to a high standard
- Works safely, respectfully and professionally
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Carpentry
- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
Desirable
- Commercial building or maintenance experience
- Working at Heights and/or EWP tickets
Why Join EBG?
- $48-55/hr + Super (depending on experience)
- Weekly pay
- Company vehicle and fuel card
- Quality equipment, uniforms and PPE
- Stable long-term employment
- Professional development opportunities
- Growing company with career growth available
- A team built around integrity, accountability, respect and pride in workmanship
Is This You?
You'll enjoy this role if you:
- Take genuine pride in your workmanship
- Care about doing the job properly the first time
- Enjoy variety and solving different problems every day
- Understand that communication is just as important as quality workmanship
- Want to be part of a qualified team that genuinely backs its people
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
