- 24 hours per week until August 2027 | Flexible hours and great work-life balance

- Based at Maroondah Hospital with provision of in-home care as required
- Join a collaborative multidisciplinary team supporting patients across the community and HITH clinic

Looking for a leadership role that offers flexibility, meaningful patient outcomes and the opportunity to shape a high-performing allied health team?

About the role

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into a senior leadership position within Eastern Health's Hospital in the Home (HITH) service.

You'll combine advanced clinical practice with allied health leadership, influencing both patient outcomes and team success. Working closely with the HITH Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary team, you'll lead a group of allied health clinicians while maintaining a rewarding clinical caseload across medicine and surgery.

Our HITH service enables patients to receive hospital-level care in their own homes, making a meaningful difference to recovery, independence and quality of life. As a key leader within the service, you'll help shape how care is delivered, drive quality improvement initiatives and mentor emerging clinicians.

If you're looking for a role where you can expand your leadership capability, support a high-performing team and continue delivering expert Occupational Therapy care, we'd love to hear from you.

About you

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys leading others, building capability and delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

You’ll bring:

- Minimum seven years’ clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.

- Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience.

- Advanced clinical assessment and intervention skills
- A commitment to innovation, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

- A passion for coaching, mentoring and supporting staff development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and clinical reasoning skills.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
