Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) is a first-class recognised flight training organisation based in Adelaide, South Australia. The Flight Training Manager will ensure the operations within their department are carried out in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements.

The role is accountable for on-time delivery of flight training to relevant airline contracts and is an integral part of the management structure of FTA. This role is a permanent fulltime.

Essential

- Working knowledge and understanding of Part 61 and relevant CASA regulations

- Understanding of aviation regulatory organisations like CASA

- Understanding of VSL

- Experience with Microsoft Office

Role Responsibilities

- Customer focus, including maintaining lines of communication with all appropriate stakeholders and ensuring conformance to FTA procedures and contractual requirements.

- Ensuring safe, effective, on time delivery of contracts.

- Ensuring efficient use of all resources.

- Manage the performance of cadets including reporting to the customer.

- Ensure the completion of student modular reports for timely distribution.

- Manage all flight training activities to ensure that they can be conducted in accordance with the Civil Aviation Act, Regulations and Orders and to meet the CASA, ASQA requirements and other regulatory approval requirements.

- Conduct student reviews.





- Ensuring instructors achieve monthly KPIs, including the management of instructor performance.

- Manage achievement of monthly forecasts on flying progress.

- Ensuring that staff members are familiar with college procedures and/or instructions.

- Productive scheduling of mass briefs.

- Ensure maintenance of student records, student folder, logbooks, medicals and licences.

- Ensure that the units of competency of students for AVETMISS reporting is completed in a timely manner. This is done either by entering the results into the student management system (JobReady) or checking and signing off the summary of unit results before a MSO enters the results into the student management system.

- Undertake performance appraisals and ensure timely completion of Individual Work and Development Plans (IWDP) for staff reporting to them.

- Other duties as reasonably directed by Management.
