Lumen Christi College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic leader to join our College as the Head of Learning Area – Science. As a Head of Learning Area, you will embrace our College Vision for Learning, Discover Together, which challenges us to inspire excellence within a welcoming community. Leaders are encouraged to work collaboratively, focusing on providing learning environments which are engaging and challenging, so students can develop a solid desire to achieve their personal best and be prepared for lifelong learning, guided by the Light of Christ.

This is a full time, ongoing position commencing 1 January 2027.

Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant will:

- Have a 4-year teaching qualification

- Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties as a member of the Lumen Christi College community

- Possess, or be willing to obtain,



Accreditation for Middle Leaders in a Catholic Schools

- Have a demonstrated capacity to improve student learning

- Have a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement to support the College’s mission and goals

- Be involved in the full life of the College, including participation in the extra-curricular program

- Be an enthusiastic and motivated leader

- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

- Have experience in a similar role.
