Carruthers Contracting is seeking an HR Officer to join our team in Yandina, Queensland on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing human resources support across the organisation under guidance from the HR Manager. You will be a key member of our HR and administrative function, contributing to the implementation of HR policies, procedures and initiatives that support our business objectives and employee engagement. - Supporting the administration of payroll, benefits and entitlements
- Assisting with the implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Providing general HR support and guidance to employees on workplace matters, leave entitlements and company policies
- Managing HR documentation, contracts and employee files in accordance with legal and organisational requirements
- Supporting employee relations matters and assisting with the resolution of workplace issues
- Coordinating employee induction and training programmes
- Assisting with performance management processes
- Provide administrative support to Payroll, Accounts, HSEQ, and the Workshop teams as needed
- Assist senior management with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
What we're looking for
- A relevant HR qualification or certification such as Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR or administrative HR role, ideally within a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace relations legislation
- Proficiency with HR systems and databases, as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally across all organisational levels
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive employee information
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a customer service focused mindset
- Experience with payroll administration and benefits management is desirable
