The Karalee on Preston is situated in Como & overlooks the Swan River. It is renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere & excellent tavern style food. The Karalee is open for lunch & dinner 7 days & seats approximately 120 people.
The Karalee has been an AHA winner of WA's Best Steak Sandwich in 2014, 2017 and 2019. In addition the venue has won WA's Best Casual Dining Pub in 2016 and 2018.
Due to our continued strong growth we are looking for an EXPERIENCED DUTY MANAGER.
Applicants MUST have demonstrated previous experience working in hospitality venues in this or a similar role. Your ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends is required.
We want that outstanding individual who will strive to make our guests time with us an unforgettable experience.
THE RIGHT APPLICANT WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar high volume, fast paced role
- Service is at the heart of everything you do - ensuring all operations are in line for smooth service and a memorable guest experience
- A genuinely charismatic, energetic personality with a desire to succeed
- Ability to monitor employees for professionalism and presentation with performance management and mentoring as required
- A positive and respectful management style
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability with weekend shifts an expectation
- A current RSA and Approved Manager’s Card (or the willingness to obtain)
- Experience in training staff - service delivery, service recovery and motivating upselling items across all menus
