About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join the team at Smiles on Flinders in Nollamara, WA 6061. This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards of patient care our practice is known for. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical setting. You will be instrumental in creating positive patient experiences and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment

2. Providing chairside support to ensure patient comfort and safety during dental treatments

3. Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

4. Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays) where qualified and permitted

5. Recording patient information and maintaining accurate dental records

6. Greeting patients, managing appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.

7. Assisting with patient education on oral hygiene and treatment options

8. Supporting dentists with administrative tasks

9. Maintaining a clean and hygienic clinical environment at all times

What we're looking for

1. A recognized Dental Assistant qualification or relevant certification from an accredited training provider

2. Current knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures in dental settings

3. Experience working in a dental practice environment (desirable but not essential for the right candidate)

4. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members

5.



Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

6. A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism

7. Flexibility and a willingness to support the team across a range of clinical and administrative tasks
