Experienced Butcher Manager

Salary Package - $100,000.00 – 110,000.00 (incl Super) / 45 hours (Sun-Thurs)

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Butchery Manager to lead our butchery team in a fast-paced retail setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:

· 3+ Years of Butchery Experience

· Have all Trade qualifications.





· Experience in processing of all proteins – including body meat, marinating & crumbing, value add product.

· Experience in developing & training butchery apprentices.

· Understand principles of shrink minimisation.

· Understand financial reporting – budget vs. actual, gross profit performance, wage performance.

· Understands stocktaking process’.

· Experience in purchasing from multiple suppliers.

· Computer Literate – POS Programs, Rostering Systems, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)

· Must be Physically fit & enjoy physical work.

· Excellent planning skills.

· Excellent Communication skills with direct team & other members of the senior management team.

· Ability to manage a team – includes training, direction, & follow up.

· Adopts a “Service First” mentality.

· Employs a positive attitude towards all situations.

· Ability to recognise & resolve issues promptly.

· Extremely high attention to detail.

· Provide helpful and efficient customer service & model appropriate behaviour.

· Enjoys working as part of a team & leads by example.

· Ability to work autonomously as required.

· Understands the importance of following Food Safety & WHO&S; programs.
