About the Opportunity

As an AMS subcontractor, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of mining and industrial sites completing:

- Planned shutdowns

- Breakdown maintenance

- Fixed plant maintenance

- Structural fabrication and repairs

- Conveyor and materials handling maintenance

- Workshop fabrication

- Project and capital works

- FIFO and regional site assignments

Work is available across multiple client operations, with opportunities ranging from short-term shutdowns through to ongoing maintenance and project support.

Scope of Work

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

- Fabrication and welding of structural steel and fixed plant equipment

- Maintenance, repair, and modification of mining and processing infrastructure

- Shutdown and breakdown maintenance

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

- Workshop and on-site fabrication

- Working safely within high-risk industrial environments

- Completing work to AMS and client quality standards





- Maintaining qualified communication and representing AMS on client sites

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold:

- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator

- Current ABN

- Appropriate Public Liability Insurance

- Workers Compensation Insurance (or applicable exemption)

- Current Driver's Licence

- Relevant Australian working rights

- Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing

- Demonstrated mining, quarrying, heavy industry or shutdown experience

- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

- Ability to travel and work FIFO rosters where required

- Confined Space Entry

- Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

- Forklift Licence

- White Card

- Rigging or Dogging Tickets

- Crane experience

- Mine site inductions

- Experience on crushing, screening, conveying or fixed plant equipment
