We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities to play a key role in establishing and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and high-quality school environment. This is a unique opportunity to join a foundation team and help shape the physical spaces of a brand-new special school from day one.

The New State Special School at Logan Reserve is a modern, purpose-built school committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education for students with disability, co-located with the New Secondary School, Logan Reserve. You will play an significant role in establishing a safe, welcoming and well-maintained learning environment that supports every student's learning, wellbeing and belonging from the school's very first day.

About The Role

Reporting to the Business Manager and working collaboratively across the co-located campus, you will support the upkeep, presentation, and functionality of school grounds and facilities.

Your work will ensure that staff, students, and the community experience a clean, safe, and engaging environment every day.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain school grounds, including gardens, outdoor areas, and general landscapingSupport the care, maintenance, and minor repairs of school facilities and equipmentEnsure a clean, safe, and well-presented environment across the campusAssist with setup and pack-down for school activities and eventsIdentify and report maintenance needs and safety concerns

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
