The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and provide high-quality accounting and taxation services.
Working closely with the Practice Director, you'll enjoy genuine autonomy while remaining part of a supportive and collaborative team.
This is a permanent part-time position offering 24 hours per week, worked across Monday to Thursday, with approximately 6 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns
- Preparation and review of BAS, IAS and GST obligations
- Management of a portfolio of business and individual clients
- Preparation of tax planning strategies and year-end tax advice
- Providing proactive taxation and business advisory services
- Liaising directly with clients and building long-term relationships
- Assisting with technical taxation research where required
- Working collaboratively to continually improve client outcomes
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, organised and enjoys building trusted relationships with clients.
You'll ideally possess:
- CPA or CA qualification (or close to completion)
- Minimum 5 years' Australian public practice experience
- Strong Australian taxation knowledge
- Experience preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for a range of entities
- Experience using Xero and cloud accounting software
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Knowledge of SMSF's and experience with BGL an advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis for the permanent part-time hours and will be negotiated based on experience, qualifications and technical capability.
